We created a shallow-depth pantry to transition from the main cooking zone - this allows for a larger walkway between the island and pantry, especially when the pantry doors are open or the dishwasher is in use.

When storage and counter space are at a premium, an over the range microwave provides dual purpose: ventilation and warm-up zone.

The range placed in the corner utilizes what can often be wasted space. The sink placed on a similar angle allows easy movement from sink to stove and back again.

A uniquely angled island allows for ample seating, food prep and storage. Carefully planned work zones allow for more than one person to work efficiently in this family-friendly space.

The sink is strategically placed on an angle in the island across from the corner stove, allowing for easy movement from one element to the other. Electrical outlets built into the island cabinetry allow the island to be a workstation from which small appliances can be operated.

The custom-built hutch done in the same finishes as the kitchen cabinetry, as well as the continuous wood flooring provides a seamless look to the kitchen and dining area. Carrying the same colour palette throughout an open-concept space unifies the different areas.

Open concept living has never been more relevant than in today’s modern family. This welcoming & multi-purpose space allows for multiple users to cook, prep, mingle, dine and yes, even do homework.

The warm wood tones of the floor and dining set mellows out the black and white contrast of the cabinets and countertops. This provides the perfect neutral backdrop for colourful decorating accents.

Beautiful crown moulding and furniture baseboard perfectly finish a custom-built hutch and make it appear like a furniture piece. Wine racks and glass cabinetry allow one to display items while providing ample storage for kitchen essentials.

The use of glass-fronted cabinetry allows the hutch to be a functional storage piece, as well as a display area. The extra countertop space here allows for a spot for serving dishes or serves as a drinks bar - perfect for entertaining!

Dark countertops ground this all-ivory kitchen. The angled sink on the island perfectly complements the angled stove on the kitchen perimeter. Stainless steel and brushed nickel fixtures are a perfect accent to this hard-working kitchen as it resists staining and scratches are easily camouflaged.

A detailed shot of the beautiful contrasts between the white cabinetry and the dark countertop and hardware. The LED under cabinet lighting provides great task lighting and the marble tile is a perfect reflective surface for more subtle shine.

Furniture baseboard designed to wrap around corners and installed with perfect precision make this island feel like a piece of furniture. Note the panels finishing the back of the island done in the same modified shaker style as the cabinet doors - another mark of a well-considered kitchen design.
